Occupational Therapists
Dianne Gross-Giese OTR/L, CHT
Dianne has been an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years with experience in neurological rehabilitation in the acute, outpatient and inpatient rehab settings. She has gained experience in hand therapy at ARC since 2005 and is currently a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). She has pursued continuing education including, but not limited to, The Hand Rehabilitation Foundation Annual Symposium (2009) with an emphasis on wrist flexor and extensor tendon repair. Her outside interests include, biking, backpacking, skiing, writing poetry, her three boys, and she is active in scouting (boy scouts).
Sara Messer, OTR/L, SCEM, CHT, ECHM
Sara has worked in hand therapy for 25 years. She earned her degree from University of Washington and accepted her first job in hand therapy in Yakima, WA upon graduation in 1998! In addition to her CHT, she has also earned her Specialty Certification in Environmental Modifications (SCEM) from AOTA and her Executive Certification in Home Modifications (ECHM) from USC. Sara has a strong passion for and emphasis on working with those who have persistent pain syndromes and/or hypermobility/hEDS. Outside of the clinic, you can find Sara walking her dogs, hiking/backpacking with her husband, (re)learning French, running her non-profit in Uganda, and trying to sneak away for tacos with her adult children.
